The moment between a dream and awake
I saw you
With your ever backwards gate
A small smile
Honeynut brown eyes
Walking slowly,
Like a distant forgotten memory
I lay in bed, half awake
Half dreaming
Can I let myself fall deeper into a slumber
So that I may see once again my long lost lover
Or do I push away the memory
As I wake up, and prepare myself
Its going to be an empty day.

Only thing..."brown hazelnut" is a bit redundant. I focused on that more than need be because of it.
I know its hard, but it's going to be okay someday.

Dreams are absolutely needed sometimes. The more you dream, the more you'll remember.
It'll be okay. <3

It is perfectly acceptable for your poems to be about the same person. That part doesn't feel redundant to me. Was just those two words
